Iconic film composer, Danny Elfman will be performing live his iconic scores from films such as Batman, Edward Scissorhands, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Big Fish and many more throughout the night at The Masound in San Francisco, California on Saturday, 3rd October 2026. A unique and unforgettable night at The Masound in San Francisco, of live concert fans from all walks of life celebrating the incredible film scores of one of cinema's most celebrated composers throughout the night.

Danny Elfman

This show will feature the work of one of the defining film score composers of the last few decades, Danny Elfman. Best known for his collaborations with the director Tim Burton, Elfman wrote the scores for films such as Batman, Edward Scissorhands, The Nightmare Before Christmas and Big Fish. He will bring some of the songs from these films to the stage as well as no doubt include some other songs from his vast repertoire of work. In 2021 Elfman did a great job venturing from typical film scoring to include many rock-influenced songs in "Big Mess". The two songs I really enjoyed were "True" and "Love in the Time of Covid".

This was great work by Mr. Elfman and he showed his fans that he is truly creative in many mediums of work. The main singer and song writer for the alternative rock band Oingo Boingo for over twenty years, before becoming the film composer he is today, Danny Elfman has received four Oscar nominations, a Grammy Award, an Emmy Award and critical acclaim for his work throughout his career. The work that he has done is easily recognizable as it includes many theatrical scores with songs that are dark in nature and have a signature sound to them that fans and critics have come to recognize and praise.

The Masound Details

The Mamusical is a state of the art venue which puts on very personal, and unique shows. Utilizing the latest in surround sound technology, The Mamusical also boasts amazing sight lines to every seat in the house. It is a very intimate setting and the venue has a very plush feel to it. There are three levels of seating in The Masound, the orchestra level, the mezzanine level, and the balcony level. The venue has a total capacity of approximately 3,000 people. In addition to the seating there are also numerous concession stands throughout the venue. These stands that serve a wide variety of refreshments before the show, and during intermission. We do not yet know the prices for Danny Elfman's show at The Masound, but we do know that they will start at $84 and go up from there.
